"Empowering Citizens, Safeguarding Democracy: A Call to Action"

As our nation stands at a critical juncture, it's imperative that we prioritize civic education and the protection of democratic principles. The upcoming elections present an opportunity for citizens to shape their future, but it requires an informed and engaged citizenry. We cannot afford to sail through another electoral cycle, without complementing the efforts of electoral management bodies and civil societies, both local and international.

Through civic education, we seek to empower citizens to understand their rights and responsibilities, fostering a culture of active participation and accountability. By educating ourselves and others, we can:

1. Promote critical thinking by encouraging citizens to evaluate information, analyze issues, and make informed decisions.
2. Foster democratic values to instill principles of tolerance, inclusivity, and respect for human rights.
3. Demand accountability and to hold leaders accountable for their actions and policies.

Without civic education and engagement, citizens may be vulnerable to manipulation, misinformation, and exploitation. This can lead to weakened institutions and processes thereby paving the way for authoritarianism. That situation will ultimately result to the suppression of dissenting and critical voices and silencing opposition and voices can undermine democracy.

The Guardians of Free Speech is calling on all citizens to make informed decicions in this our Call to Action named “Strong Voices, Safe Choices”.

Let's work together to:

1. Sensitize citizens: Educate and engage citizens on democratic principles and human rights.
2. Raise awareness: Inform the global community about our nation's democratic challenges and opportunities.
3. Promote critical thinking: Encourage citizens to think critically about political issues.
